"Jerry Lewis"

(Dean Martin is his dad's owner) is quite a character.  He was born almost a "premie" at 324 days and was a 32" pee wee.  He has come on and come on and is now a very, very nice young mule.  He is a blood red bay that was castrated at 3 days and is going have a big hip (like his Mom).  I'm not sure how big he will end up, he's 47" at 8 months, so he has grown 15".  Our "Fern" baby was pretty big and had only grown 12" at 8 months,   He has grown and changed so much and his Mom is a 15.2h Foundation bred quarter mare it will be interesting to see how big he gets.  We didn't wean him until he was 8 months, and he is  starting to be a real Buddy.  He has a great "mind".  I'm guessing he will be around 56" or 57" when he is done and he will be a classy, classy dude.

"Where the Red Fern Grows"

"Fern" hasn't had the best life.  Her Mom, a maiden mare, didn't milk right and she was weaned at 9 weeks.  In spite of all of that, she has done great!!!  She was 50" tall at 6 months.  She is a ???? sorrel with a dark mane and tail .... light dun stripe ????  Fern has the most amazing attitude.  The day she was born she would leave her Mom at the other end of the pasture to come see us and she is still that way.  You can see she's a dandy and will only get better.  You can see that her Mom is a tank,
