Our team of Belgian mules

Ada and Rhonda are 14 yr. old Belgian mules I bought from Mike Ryan at Decorah, IA.  They came from the Amish in Pennsylvania and they have spent alot of time "working" in their lives and I "play" with them, so ........... their lives are great now!!!!  They are my 1st team of mules and I couldn't ask for anything more.

There are few things better than a nice summer day, a nice cooler full of 'refreshments',  Sheila and good dogs to ride along, good friends to enjoy all of this with and about the nicest dang team to drag us around the countryside.

A close second is going to competitions brimming with horse teams, many times with these nice girls being only mule team, and showing 'them' what mules can do.  I don't think I'm being biased (although I am) when I say it is AMAZING how many 2nd place positions we can get!  We have resigned ourselves to the fact that "many" Judges will not place a mule team ahead of 'all' horse teams, but .... you know what, that's o.k.!  Many times we get comments the crowd and other competitors that tell us we are doing great and most folks figure it out!
